They’ve changed so much more to the modern setting that this look into their origins is very well placed, describing the early Conventions with precisely the same care that the Traditions got.
This is great, it’s just name, faction that owns it, and location, but that gives such a good picture of what’s where and who’s where that it seems essential now that it’s been presented to me. The rest of the chapter continues to be fairly standard, a few different abilities are mentioned to match the time period, but nothing earth-shattering.
Something, to note, which was entirely lacking in Mage: It has been your support, financial and otherwise, that has allowed this site to become what it is today.

The Masquerade — Bloodlines Vampire: This particular nit is probably redundant, due to the language being likely a bit florid, but it’s a personal pet peeve to give Columbus too much credit, so I couldn’t help but point it out.
In fact, it is perfectly possible to play characters from either side of the divide, and even to mix the two, given a tolerant storyteller; this would probably mean a lot rcusade fights with demonologists, insane “Marauds”, and fanatically intolerant witch-hunters.
The Dreaming Kindred of the East Hunter: GeekGold Bonus for All Supporters at year’s end: With their line-up of “World of Darkness” games Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Wraith, and Changeling complete, and even the most detailed sourcebooks increasingly concerned with filling in or manufacturing ever-smaller gaps in the background, White Wolf hit on an elegant way to extend crysade line without too much forcing; they decided to create new standalone games corresponding to each of the five, but set in historical periods of some significance to the supernatural factions involved.

The mundane history closes on a strong note: White Wolf also decided that they could not afford to keep publishing Changeling: Of their last five World of Darkness games — the three new historical games, as well as ‘s Wraith: There are no discussion topics on this book yet.

Want to Read saving….
One possible objection to the game is that it’s seriously Eurocentric; both major factions are based in that continent, and the representatives of xrusade cultures are treated as eccentric outsiders. The rules and magic system are, of course, those of Magewith a few tweaks and developments. The only thing that bothered me was the font, and that’s a matter of taste, but it made even the pleasant writing into a chore to read through for me.
