With its carefully considered structure of anthropology followed by, erm, ritualology, Liber Noxmakes for a satisfying read.

Another crucial aspect of the Craft often skipped is included here: The libr blend well, and Howard is very clear the rituals in the book have been written just for the book, as a means of showing and providing traditional material and approaches for the reader to build upon. Those interested in entering the Craft will find instruction on casting the circle as well as practicing basic rites that span the calendric year.

The work is well referenced, although who is and who is not referenced is something of a surprise. The author hold that all are equally valid. Howard should be congratulated for taking this brave step, for daring to engage gramafye those lost on the path but seeking something with bite.
The book is beautifully illustrated by Gemma Gary and includes specific rituals complete with their incantatory and ceremonial poetry in the final section.
