Still a very enjoyable story I changed this from 4 stars to 5 stars after Z. People come to him with teddy bears and chocolates and disappointment by the truckload. Apr 06, Shin Mon Thway rated it it was amazing Shelves: Not even a little bit.

From a small town of less than people, he falls in love with the work of a Japanese artist, Ran Yamane. There was much moving around of characters that seemed a little unnecessary at times and did not really drive the story.


Its one of those stories that makes you start analyzing situations and character choices whilst reading the book, when you should really just be sitting back and going with the flow of the actual story.

So when he meets Rory he is understandably wary, but resigned. I was totally blown away! Add to that Greg’s Exquisite performance, and you have a book that’s nearly impossible to pause for bothersome details like food or sleep. The description of Yamane also made the story for me, everything about him tick my box, from the hair to his mannerism, is little bouts of selfishness and his handling of Rory or his way of allowing himself to be handled by Rory.

So I didn’t even mean to start reading this book, no less read the first pages in one sitting instead of sleeping, but there you have it.

An adventure and a romance, well told and perfectly performed. Marvellous I read this book years ago, but listening to the narration reminded me how much I loved it only more so. It’s funny and sweet and sexy and romantic and too much fun not to give five gushing stars.

He was such an interesting and sexy character. This book is way darker than the blurb mentioned. Im shocked that the reviews on this book are so high, it was the worst thing I’ve ever read and I wish I could erase it from my mind.


Rory’s just a simple southern boy from St. Maxfield started writing in on a dare from her children and never looked back. I mean in this day and age of the internet, I’m confused why people think he’s a woman, since he obviously isn’t pretending to be one.

Succumbing to his Fear.

And then Rory tends to do thing without informing Yamane, and this is not good since, even if he is not aware of draw, doing so he is dismissing Yamane as a man and a partner. I hate to admit this, but I really didn’t enjoy it at all. Toggether, the author shoves him into a beat up little car that just makes him very unappealing for the roadtrip Such a good story, boy loves girl, boy meets girl, erm girls’ a beautiful man. There are a few eye roll moments but this is not to cringy a book.

The cover was the reason for me buying this book. However, when he gets to the head of the line, he discovers that he is in fact a man. So what if we are?! Daniel has never fit in – not at home in Philadelphia deawn his auto mechanic father and brothers, and not at school where his Ivy League classmates looked down on him.
