According to the datasheet it must have addresses and I should be able to write unsigned int into at24c61a [ 1 unsigned int per 2 addresses] but I am only able to write unsigned ints onto addresses.

It has 8 pages. But i still can’t figure that out See my comment on his answer. To access more than addresses you will need to write your own routines that control the target chip appropriately. If you are just writing a single byte at a time you don’t need to worry about pages.
