There is a bit of a nice tidy “tie all the ends up” plot development which kind of felt a bit too convenient, but it did fit in with the previous behaviour of the villain, so it wasn’t beyond the realms of possibility. I love you like a fool. Painfully introverted and rendered nearly mute by a heavy stammer, Lord George Albert Westin rarely ventures any farther than the club or his beloved gardens. So, I was a bit at sea there.

Gentlemn love, their pain, their hope felt so real, I was there with them every step of the way. Not to mention two MCs who are sweet, patient and loving to each other.


It made their struggles more poignant for me. Part romance, part action adventure and pure historical, the novel relates the lives of two gentlemman opposites but refuses to dip into a Pretty Woman type of trope, instead privzte on creative storytelling to make it stand out. But did I throw the book across the room in annoyance? What I’m trying to say is that while reading this story, I was totally engrossed in it and I bought every word I read.
